Personal profile
I studied my PhD in Environmental Geography at University of Ostrava, Faculty of Science, Department of Physical Geography and Geoecology. In my research, I am focusing on gravel bar formation and evolution in regulated rivers including the influence of vegetation cover and hydrological events. Besides my focus on gravel bars, I also collaborated on research involving Ecosystem services of river landscape, large wood in rivers or assessment of river sediment properties for salmonid fish. I am interested in river landscape changes and responses to different pressures including human impact or events resulting from climate change.
