Personal profile

I studied my Bachelor‘s and Master‘s in Landscape formation and protection at University of Ostrava, Faculty of Science, Department of Physical Geography and Geoecology. Currently, I am finishing my PhD at the same university in Environmental Geography, focusing on my dissertation on Gravel bar formation and evolution in regulated rivers including the influence of vegetation cover and hydrological events. Besides my focus on gravel bars, I also collaborated on research involving Ecosystem services of river landscape, Large Wood in rivers or assessment of river sediment properties for salmonid fish. I am interested in river landscape changes and responses to different pressures including human impact or events resulting from climate change.
