Artúr Nagy graduated with bachelor and master degrees in history, with military history specialization of the 20-21st century, at the Károli Gáspár University, in Budapest, Hungary. He is currently enrolled at the Department of Geography in the PhD programme Geographies of Transformations. The focus of the PhD dissertation is on Soviet and Russian operations and influence, especially their military and propaganda aspects, and comparing these in different regions. In addition, examining the characteristics of different regions, the resistance of the local population and the advantages and problems of the Russian military operations at lower levels.
