Martin Bartůněk graduated in Geography at the Bachelor’s and Master’s level at the Faculty of Science of the Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem. He is currently enrolled at the Department of Geography in the PhD programme Geographies of Transformations. His dissertation project focuses on forms of visual presentation of geographic data. The main points of research interest are regions, regional identity and symbols of regions in the form of geographical names.
