Personal profile
I am a social anthropologist working at the intersection between energy and the environment. Specifically, this means the effects energy infrastructures have on landscapes, both urban and rural. During the past years I have engaged extensively with nuclear decommissioning and its effects in Germany, and previously I worked on post-socialist urban transformations. Regionally, my focus is on Central and Eastern Europe, and I have done research in East Germany, Hungary, and Romania.
