Personal profile

Petr Meyer graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Geography from the Technical University of Liberec and a Master’s degree in Geography from the J. E. Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem. He completed his Ph.D. studies in General geography at Charles University, where he focused on the issue of catchment areas of primary schools in the Czech Republic. Since 2015, he has been a member of the Department of Geography at the University of Ústí nad Labem, where he teaches courses on cartography, GIS and 3D modelling. His professional activity focuses on the geography of education, more specifically on primary education, catchment areas, school network or school choice and 3D reconstruction of abandoned landscapes.
